Students enrolled in this program are eligible to take up to four courses of pre-major and major coursework at Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ· while pursuing an associate degree at GCTC. Gateway2Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ· students pay the GCTC tuition rate to Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ· for the allotted four Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ· courses. Students taking classes at Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ· through the program will also pay part-time student fees per credit hour. Some courses may also incur specific charges from the respective college. Students pay for their GCTC and Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ· bills separately.
The four courses must be spread out over the span of several semesters. The number of courses a student is able to take at Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ· in a given semester is based on earned and in-progress hours. Students with 15 earned and in-progress hours are eligible to take their first course at Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ·. Once students have at least 30 earned and in-progress hours, they are eligible to take a second course at Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ·. After 45 earned and in-progress hours, students can take their last two courses. If a student has 45 or more earned and in progress hours but have yet to take any classes at Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ· through the Gateway2Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ· program, he or she would be eligible to take two courses in the first semester of the program.
Students must never exceed the maximum of two courses at Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ· in any given semester through the Gateway2Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ· program. Students enrolled in the Gateway2Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ· program are eligible to take courses at Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ· that are not offered at GCTC or online through KCTCS. While enrolled in Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ· courses through the program, students are not eligible to take courses at Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ· above and beyond the Gateway2Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ· program courses.
